About Our All Church Journey

The 10th annual All Church Journey will take us through a six-week study on the life and biblical convictions of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Using videos and a workbook titled Share the Dream, we will see Dr. King was not just a civil rights leader — he was a devoted servant of Christ. His voice echoed the heart of Scripture, and his actions were rooted in unshakable biblical principles: love, conscience, freedom, justice, perseverance, and hope.

For many white Christians, the story of racial injustice in America is one we’ve been able to observe from a distance. It’s time to close that distance. It’s time to listen to voices we haven’t always heard and to learn from the lived faith of our black brothers and sisters. Not out of guilt — but out of obedience to Christ, who said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Learning from non-white perspectives is a profoundly Christian act. The body of Christ is beautifully diverse, and God speaks through every part. To ignore those voices is to miss the fullness of what God wants to say to us. This study is not about shame. It’s about discipleship. It’s about growing into people who reflect the heart of Jesus more fully — people who love with courage, act with justice, and walk humbly with God.

Pray With Us

Heavenly Father, we pray for a breakthrough in our own hearts and communities. Fill us with Your transforming love that breaks down walls of division, sharpen our conscience to boldly stand for righteousness, grant us true freedom in Christ to liberate others, let justice roll down like waters through our actions, give us perseverance to press forward when progress seems slow, and anchor our souls in hope that You are making all things new. Awaken us and make us instruments of Your kingdom on earth. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Starting September 21st, Christ Church will pair a 6-week sermon series with weekly discussions in small groups. So what you hear on Sunday, you get to live out during the week because of this additional experience.

In 60- 90 minute sessions over six weeks, you will meet new people, get a chance to clarify how the topic and scriptures are impacting you, watch a short teaching video, and hear how they are impacting others. Bible knowledge is not required, though it is sure to increase. More importantly, you learn how to put scripture into action.

There are several options.

– Purchase your copy on Sunday mornings (Beginning Aug 11st), from the Book Nook (outside of the Sanctuary) or the front office, Mon-Thurs, 9a-3p. The cost is $10 for the book.

Christ Church defines a disciple as learning to love like Jesus every day where we live, work and play.  The intentionality that comes with the routine and the gentle accountability that comes from knowing we are all rowing our oars in the same direction every week, drives transformation in a person. Small groups are where we go from learning about Jesus to loving like Jesus.

If you are part of a small group, your group leader or host can give you access to the videos. If you are not in a small group, purchase a study guide in the Book Nook or at the front desk. These guides include an access code to the online videos.
