Current Serving Opportunities

No events found

A couple of years ago, we started showing up in our Kettering neighborhood with a food trailer, preparing and serving free meals every week in the same spot. Our goal was simple: build real relationships with the people who live, work, and play in our community—not just be present, but actually be invested. What started as weekly conversations over shared meals has grown into something bigger. We've partnered with our neighbors in Oak Park and connected with other local Dayton organizations that share our commitment to knowing and serving our community. Our team members continue to go through training focused on meaningful, respectful conversation, and we've learned so much about who our neighbors are and what matters to them. The food trailer might draw people in, but the relationships we've built—that's where the real value is. As we've gotten to know our community better, we've been able to serve and invest in ways that actually matter to the people we're walking alongside.
