Early in September, I had ankle fusion surgery on my right ankle.  I felt God’s love through all the cards I received from the Church.  My friends brought food and came to visit me. I felt God’s love in the kindness these ladies showed with their actions.  A couple of days before my final doctor’s visit in January, I fell and broke my left hip.  One church friend visited me in the hospital.  I went to Bethany for rehab.  My friend Jan Crosby from church had already been there for several weeks.  I visited her on the way to my room and was comforted by already having a friend there.  Jan had injured her leg and had a long, complicated recovery.  Jan always had a good attitude and was a great friend.  I had many visits from the ladies at church.  One friend went out in the rain and got me something I needed at the store.  My husband was in the hospital, and I know he was prayed for as well.  Another lady brought Valentine’s cookies from the lady’s event.  I felt God’s love through the kindness of these ladies.  I tried to pass on this kindness to several other patients by visiting with them and sharing some of my art supplies.  When I returned home, the ladies continued to bring food and visit.  When I was able to return to church, several ladies gave me rides.  I felt God’s love through the kindness of these ladies.  That card you send or just getting in touch means a lot to someone going through difficult times.

Each day, I feel God giving me strength, healing, comfort, and peace.
